Meet The Team
Dr. Kulberg is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience in the treatment of anxiety and eating disorders, and a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. Her past employers include various hospital, residential and outpatient settings, including the Child & Adolescent Eating Disorder Program at the Eating Recovery Center in Denver. She is currently the owner/director of Anxiety Experts of Santa Barbara. Due to her background in clinical neuropsychology, she brings an understanding of brain-behavior relationships to her work and can treat complex cases in which patients have developmental or neurological challenges. She has also taught undergraduate and graduate level psychology courses.
Riley holds a Masters in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. Following her master's degree, she worked with clients in the treatment of Substance Abuse, Severe Mental Illness, and Co-Occuring Disorders in Santa Barbara. Previously, Riley worked in the Early Childcare Education field and is expertly trained in developmental psychology and working with young children and their families. Riley is a lifetime member of Psi Chi, the International Honors Society in Psychology.
Grace holds a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Following her master's degree, she worked with clients in the treatment of Eating Disorders, Substance Abuse, Anxiety, and Depression in Santa Barbara. As well, she has worked as a Clinical Supervisor in Applied Behavioral Analysis for several years, and previously as a School Counselor with adolescents. Grace is expertly trained in the use of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Exposure Response Prevention for the treatment of a variety of mental health disorders. Grace is a member of Psi Chi National Honors Society of Psychology.
Kristie Simmons is a Registered Dietitian and has devoted her career to working with individuals struggling with eating disorders and disordered eating. Kristie has spent the past 7 years working at Eating Recovery Center supporting patients across all ages and diagnoses as well as across the level of care continuum. This most recently includes developing a Virtual IOP and branching off into more Virtual Outpatient support. Kristie likes to incorporate a values-based approach to discussing health and nutrition as a way to achieve complete wellness. She believes that food can be used as a vehicle to obtain a more rich and meaningful life. Kristie received her undergraduate degree at University of Connecticut before completing her Masters at Northeastern University. Kristie is a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian through IAEDP.
