Andrea Kulberg PhD, CEDS

Clinical Director

Dr. Kulberg is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience in the treatment of anxiety and eating disorders, and a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. She has also been trained through the International OCD Foundation in the use of Exposure with Response Prevention, the number one treatment for anxiety.

 

Dr. Kulberg has been a speaker at the IOCDF conference. Her past employers include various hospital, residential and outpatient settings, including the Child & Adolescent Eating Disorder Program at Eating Recovery Center in Denver.  She is currently the owner/director of Anxiety Experts. She has also taught undergraduate and graduate level psychology courses.

Grace Stirling

Licensed MFT

Grace holds a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Following her master's degree, she worked with clients in the treatment of eating disorders, substance abuse, anxiety, and depression in Santa Barbara.  She has also worked as a Clinical Supervisor in Applied Behavioral Analysis for several years, and previously as a school counselor with adolescents.  Grace is trained in the use of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (including Exposure with Response Prevention) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

 

Grace is a member of Psi Chi National Honors Society of Psychology.

Jeanette Aguayo

Licensed MFT

Jeanette is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and earned her Masters degree at California Lutheran University. She is a bilingual clinician, and her clinical background includes providing outpatient therapy to adults, adolescents, children and their families struggling with moderate to severe anxiety, depression, behavioral problems and family discord. Additionally, she has worked with adult patients at the residential level of care who are struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues following a psychiatric hospitalization. Jeanette has experience using attachment based therapies, cognitive behavioral therapies and group therapy.

Michael Metz

MFT Associate

Michael is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who moved to Santa Barbara from Orange County, CA. During graduate school he worked as an elementary school counselor and gained experience working with children and their families. After earning his Master’s degree in Counseling from Palo Alto University, he went on to work in outpatient substance abuse and non-profit community mental health, where he provided individual and group therapy to a diverse and underserved population. Michael is trained in CBT, ERP, and DBT, and has experience treating OCD, Social Phobia, Depression, Addiction, and Body Dysmorphic Disorder.
 

Michael’s passions include playing music, woodworking, and competitive sword fighting. He believes that every human being possesses the strength and courage to recover from anxiety disorders with the right guidance.

Farah Jadhavji

MFT Associate

Farah is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She earned her Master’s degree at the University of San Diego. Her previous internships have involved work with teens, couples, and families suffering from anxiety, depression, relationship issues and other mental health challenges. She has also worked in Applied Behavioral Analysis, gaining experience with children on the Autism spectrum in both home and school settings. Farah is trained in Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Exposure Response Prevention Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and family systems theory.

Lories Khoury

Licensed MFT

Lories Khoury is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, who is currently working on her PsyD and certificate in Sports Psychology at San Diego University for Integrative Studies. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from California State University Northridge in Family and Consumer Science and her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy and School Counseling from Phillips Graduate University. Lories has been working in mental health for nearly ten years in a variety of settings ranging from intensive service fieldwork to outpatient therapy with individuals, families, and couples.

Lories is a Primary Therapist in our virtual Intensive Outpatient Program for Athletes with disordered eating. She has been active in sports from high school through her adult years, and has experienced the defeating feelings that go along with having injuries which may take an athlete out for the season. She has personally struggled with the mental preparation and structured eating for workouts and competitions. Lories is trained in Exposure with Response Prevention as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and is driven to empower other athletes to overcome their own challenges.

Tatyana Barroso

MFT Associate

Tatyana is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She earned her Master’s Degree from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and her Bachelor’s degree at Northwest University in Washington. Her clinical background has included rehabilitation of families in the foster care system, as well as providing individual and family therapy to teens in a residential setting struggling with a wide range of mental health problems. Tatyana has worked extensively with at-risk and under-served students in outpatient and school settings providing psycho-education, community resources and social skills training, as well as treating anxiety, depression, grief, family separation and conflict, and low academic motivation. She also has over 6 years of experience providing ABA intervention and sports training to individuals on the autism spectrum or who have other special needs. Tatyana is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Exposure with Response Prevention, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Director of Nutrition

Shira Evans MS, RD, CSSD

Shira Evans is a Registered Dietitian and Board-Certified Specialist in Sport Dietetics (CSSD) with 10 years of experience. She is currently the Director of Olympic Sports Nutrition at UNC Chapel Hill, where she oversees the sports nutrition programming and care of all the Olympic sport teams and athletes. She is a member of the athletic department's eating disorder team, providing outreach on campus and collaboratively working with all Division I varsity athletes and teams. 

Prior to joining the staff at UNC Chapel Hill, she served in a similar role at Dartmouth College. Additionally, Shira has worked at residential, partial hospital and intensive outpatient levels of care in eating disorder facilities, including Eating Recovery Center of Denver’s Adult and Child/Adolescent programs. Through her collaboration with multidisciplinary treatment teams, she has helped to restore health and happiness to individuals struggling with disordered eating.

Registered Dietitian

Ginger Hartman

Ginger Hartman, RD, is a Registered Dietitian with over 21 years of experience in the treatment of eating disorders and disordered eating.  Ginger has spent the past 11 years working at the Child & Adolescent Eating Disorder Program at Eating Recovery Center in Denver, CO.  Prior to this, she worked at Remuda Ranch Treatment Centers in Wickenburg, AZ. 

 

Ginger has a passion for working with individuals and families to assist them in moving away from the diet mentality.  She utilizes a values-based approach and nutrition education to teach the truth about food and the body with a goal to progress toward a normal relationship with food where one can truly experience freedom from the lies of the eating disorder.  Ginger graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Dietetics from Bluffton University in Bluffton, Ohio, and completed her Dietetic Internship at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

Registered Dietitian

Sarah Walsh CSSD

Sarah Walsh is a registered dietitian with 10 years of experience. She is a board Certified Sports Specialty Dietitian (CSSD) and has worked with professional, collegiate, and tactical athletes in moving away from dieting and building a healthy relationship with food and their bodies. 

 

Previously, she has worked with professional athlete care teams, in university health centers, and athletic departments, where she was an integral member of the eating disorder treatment teams and sports medicine multidisciplinary teams. Sarah also spent some time with Eating Recovery Center as a dietitian for the Virtual Intensive Outpatient Eating Disorder Program. Currently, Sarah works with the United States Army under the Holistic Health and Fitness program. 

 

She is originally from Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University with bachelors' and master degrees in both dietetics and exercise science.

David Randolph Evans

Office Manager

David comes to the Anxiety Experts team having spent several years engaged in the performance arts as an actor, singer, dancer and director. David graduated as an Honors Scholar from Foothill College with degrees in Communication Studies, English Writing, Political Science, Social Science, and Theatre Arts.

 

He hosts a remarkably diverse background and brings his exceptional organizational and administrative skills to our practice as well as his unparalleled positive outlook. David has always found tremendous joy in facilitating wellness practices in addition to providing a welcoming and hospitable point of contact.

Kate Adler

Case Manager

Kate comes to the Anxiety Experts team with a profound admiration for the work that therapists and clients do to support better mental health outcomes. In 2021, Kate graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of California, Santa Barbara, earning a degree in Sociology and Education, and wrote her honors thesis on the strategies used to construct representations of the "healthy body" on social media.

Ciarra Henderson

Digital Marketing Manager

Ciarra earned her bachelor's degree in Journalism from Georgia State University in the fall of 2017, and graduated with a Master of Divinity from Emory University during the summer of 2022. She has over eight years of social media marketing and graphic design experience working within the entertainment, education, law, beauty, and medical industries. Ciarra is responsible for marketing at Anxiety Experts, which ranges from content creation for ads and social media, to website management and video editing. As a problem solver, she is proactive in spreading awareness of Anxiety Experts across the state of California and is dedicated to finding solutions for a better patient experience. 

 

Ciarra lives in Atlanta, Georgia, and is passionate about youth ministry and spending time with her toddler. Ciarra is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
